Shaun Thomas joins Kitagawa NorthTech to manage and support custom workholding engineering, manufacturing, quality control and testing processes
Schaumburg, IL – April 18, 2017 – Kitagawa NorthTech, Inc. announced Shaun Thomas has joined the company as Senior Manager of Engineering & Manufacturing. In his position for the Workholding Company, Shaun will be instrumental in managing all design, engineering, and manufacturing processes.
Mr. Thomas comes to Kitagawa NorthTech with over 13 years of direct workholding industry experience. Prior to joining Kitagawa NorthTech, Mr. Thomas spent over a decade at workholding manufacturer serving in various manufacturing and engineering capacities as well as estimating custom engineered projects.
Thomas to Also Support Kitagawa NorthTech’s Productivity Team with Engineering and Estimating for Custom Engineered Workholding Projects & Steady Rests
In his role, Mr. Thomas will also support Kitagawa NorthTech’s in-house Productivity Team, which is responsible for designing, engineering and manufacturing custom workholding and other integrated products and solutions. Their ranges of custom workholding services for include engineered workholding for turning, prismatic milling applications, automation solutions and Steady Rests. With his previous, extensive experience in managing and estimating custom design projects, Mr. Thomas will play a vital role in supporting the Productivity Team’s efforts to estimate, engineer, manufacture and deliver complete workholding solutions.
Mr. Thomas holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Technology with a special emphasis in Computer Aided Design (CAD) from Northern Illinois University and a MBA from Cappella University. He currently operates out of Kitagawa’s North American headquarters in Schaumburg, IL and resides with his family in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
