Schaumburg, IL – October 19, 2026 – Kitagawa-NorthTech, Inc., (KNI) Machine Tool Accessories, Workholding and Tooling Systems manufacturer, has hired Tom Mika as Inside Sales Engineer at Americas headquarters and operations. In this capacity, Mr. Mika will be interfacing with customers with sales orders, quoting, projects and technical support. He will also provide support on designing custom engineered workholding solutions.
Mr. Mika comes to Kitagawa NorthTech with an extensive background in manufacturing engineering for industrial and technical products and services. Prior to joining KNI, he has worked for Viant Medical, a medical device manufacturer, as a manufacturing engineer designing fixtures, optimizing processes and reducing scrap. Prior to that he spent over 8 years at Mitsubishi MC Machinery as an Applications Engineer. At Mitsubishi MC Machinery, Tom was involved with customer training, performing test cuts and designing custom processes.
Tom holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing from Northern Illinois University, Dekalb, IL. He resides in the Northwest Suburbs of Illinois and works out of KitagawaNorthTech’s Americas headquarters located in Schaumburg, Illinois. In his free time, he enjoys gardening, travelling and snowboarding.
