This series is a low maintenance power chuck for vertical lathes. The NV series power chucks feature sealed master jaws to protect against chip and coolant contamination.
NV power chucks use standard Kitagawa soft jaws, sealing caps for mounting bolt holes and have coolant evacuation ports on the mounting plate.
NV series chucks are designed for use on vertical lathes but are versitile and can also be used on horizontal lathes. With the addition of sealing strips and a scraper the chuck is effectively protected against coolant and chip contamination. We have also added sealing caps for the mounting bolt holes and coolant evacuation ports in the mounting plate to prevent coolant from entering the spindle.
